Sí, es una suma considerable, aunque el prospecto es toda una estrella, batea a las dos manos y defiende la segunda almohadilla… y ya era millonario. Puede decirse que el muchachito era rico de cuna. Esto porque su padre, actual alcalde de la provincia de San Cristóbal, se llama Raúl Mondesí, un hombre que no necesita mucha presentación porque en las grandes ligas hizo su propia historia.Mondesí jugó para Toronto, Yankees, Arizona, Angelinos y Atlanta. Este último fue el equipo que lo dejó libre en el 2005, cuando Mondesí era todavía muy joven pero decidió retirarse de la pelota y dedicarse a la política. Al parecer también se dedicó a enseñar a sus hijos a jugar pelota porque Adalberto es el segundo de sus hijos que recibe una firma de las grandes ligas.
